Visual Studio Shortcuts

March 29, 2008 – 10:35 pm

Most of the task we do in visual studio can also be done through shortcuts. Here are some shortcuts from msdn I found useful.

Navigation:

·         Goto Line: Ctrl+G

o   Brings up Go To Line allowing you to automatically jump to a line position

·         Toggle Bookmark: Ctrl+K, Ctrl+K

o   Set a bookmark to allow you to easily jump back to that position later.

·         Next Bookmark/Previous Bookmark: Ctrl+K, Ctrl+N (Next); Ctrl+K, Ctrl+P (Previous)

o   Moves between your set bookmarks.

Visual Studio provides handy shortcuts for faster coding and less frequent use of mouse.
