CMS 2.0

November 2, 2008 – 3:10 pm

The CMS has been upgraded to version 2.0 :) . As promised, here is the rundown on some of the feature that are implemented in 2.0.

Menu System (enhacement):
The menu system on the left and on the top just got prettier.  Also, some of the main feature has been renamed, such as Plugins to Module, and User Management

Quick Organizational Tabs
Ajax tabs were added in the Configuration section, to organize long page and allowing another level of customizatin.

Reports
The report section was also implemented with ajax tabs, and organized reports. I added new search feature to reports, it can either be searched by report name, user, or task. This section will have its own updates in the feature.

Pages/Site Creator
Dashboard now looks more organized, compared to earlier versions of CMS. Version 2  had major enhancement to page section. Some of the ehancements include pagination, searchable interface (specifically for Pages), and sort multiple columns. Everything on Pages section has ajax.

FTP Connector
FTP Connector is a ftp client, built directly into CMS as a module. The feature was requested to eliminate the uploading process for people without ftp upload process. The module will have its on seperate updates.

Modules
The module section was also implemented with ajax enhancements. Some of the features are: pagination, multiple column sorting, searchable interface (right built into the module section). Complete new design for the module section was one of the key enhancements.

Update
New documentation feature was added, to keep track of the changes made by me.

So, thats the new CMS 2.0, a little more cooler and a little more usable. I’m open to any recommandation on this version or any future implementations.

Note: Documentation will also be updated later today in Update section.
